Hi Everybody! Lilly here and I am so excited to share one of the ways the C.A.E. Discovery Club gang shows Gratitude; by writing Thank You notes.
To show we are really sincere about the thank you, the gang always Hand-writes or personally creates a picture for our thank-you’s. But whatever we do, we do it personally ourselves to show appreciation for the gift or act that was generously given to us.
If you are really little and can’t write yet just draw a picture on the card and have Mom or Dad write a little note to go with it, you can even tell them what to write for you. A nice addition is to send a picture of you with the gift if your thank you is for a gift.
Once you are in school, you can start writing your Thank You notes yourself; don’t worry no one cares if it is messy they just want to hear from you). (of course try to do the best you can)
As you graduate each year to your next grade add another sentence to your thank you; a good rule of thumb is to write one sentence per grade but one sentence is better than none!
I even have a poster I made that is up on our clubhouse wall and it says: “Lilly’s special secret: Send out Thank You’s promptly!”
